Google Pixel 8 Series Smartphones Now ‘Made in India

Google Pixel 8 series smartphones sold in the Indian market will now be manufactured domestically. The company announced on X (formerly Twitter) that the first batch of ‘Made-in-India’ Pixel 8 series smartphones will soon be available in stores.

Google had initially made this announcement in October 2023. The company’s supply partner, Foxconn, began trial production in the second quarter. Now, Google Pixel 8 smartphones will be available in Indian stores.

Google is assembling its phones under the Indian government’s Production Linked Incentive (PLI) scheme. Before Google, companies like Apple, Samsung, Xiaomi, Vivo, Oppo, and OnePlus have already been manufacturing their smartphones in India.
